PCS TO NAS LEMOORE
San Francisco 2020
I am glad you are here! PCS-ing to Lemoore can feel like a whirlwind, especially when it happens fast, from out of state, and you're trying to figure everything out from a distance. If that’s where you’re at right now, I just want to say: I see you. You’re not behind, and you’re not alone. I've been there too.
When we got our unexpected orders to Lemoore in November 2019, we were actually mid-way through buying a home on Whidbey Island. Blake had a hard-copy extension and I was on track to get licensed in Washington — and then a detailer’s error rerouted everything. Suddenly, we had 2–3 months to pack up, pivot, and figure it all out by January 2020.
We didn’t know anyone stationed in Lemoore, and we were in such a time crunch that we just chose a local agent with reviews and hoped for the best. But pretty quickly, we realized we didn’t feel supported — especially as first-time buyers using a VA loan and buying sight unseen. There wasn’t much explanation, communication was limited to business hours, and it felt hard to ask questions without being a bother.
We got a video tour, but no one pointed out the obvious red flags — water spots, cleanliness issues, things we could’ve caught with better eyes and clearer guidance. At closing, the walkthrough felt rushed. Within a month, one of those “minor” water spots turned into a full AC leak and a $10k repair. By the time we moved in, we were overwhelmed, confused, and so exhausted we didn’t even finish unpacking for six months.
Looking back, I learned a lot from that experience. Mostly, I learned exactly how I never want my clients to feel.
HOW I HELP NOW…
These days, about 90 percent of the buyers I work with are PCSing from out of the area — and I bring everything I learned firsthand into how I support them.
Here’s what that looks like:
Clear, kind communication — even outside “standard” hours when you’re juggling work, kids, or time zones
Upfront honesty — I’ll walk you through homes like I would for a friend, pointing out the things that might not show on camera (without overstepping into inspection territory)
VA loan–familiar and timeline-flexible
I understand PCS orders, DITY moves, and how to keep things moving without overwhelming you
No-pressure, question-welcoming energy — Whether it’s your first home or your fifth move, you deserve a space to ask questions without feeling like a burden
And most importantly: I’ll never treat your move like “just another deal.” This is your life, your investment, and your family’s peace of mind. You deserve to feel supported from start to finish — and I’m here to make sure that happens.
